Work

dreamstimefree_243655_thumbFinding work seems to be easier to do now if you are willing and able to spend sometime using the web to investigate, connect and apply for jobs. The key word is that you still need to make the connection and talk to people about what you’re looking for. Spending lots of time on the web, applying to jobs is not the best way to spend your time. The web helps you research that particular company, job, etc but you need to make the connection physically to get the job.

 Job Sites

Job SitesListed below are some of the job sites and my experience with them:

  • LinkedIn – You can use LinkedIn like you would a job search engine: by city, region, job, or company. Or you can search for people you know.
  • You can open more doors by subscription but it is about $20/mo for the cheapest level.
  • You can also use LinkedIn by reaching out to the people who you know , who can introduce you to the person you want to network with by using their connections (It is based on the 6 degrees of separation).
